2017 September Expenses Review

CutSpending

My September expenses were about the same as last month which is considerably low compare to the rest of the months. All the categories were below budget. Since September was still warm in the west, we mostly stayed home with baby butterfly with AC on most of the time.

Monthly Expenses By Category September

Mortgage 829
HOA / Property Tax 979
Insurance (HO/Car) 173
Utility (Electricity, Phone, DSL) 106
Total Fix Expenses 2,087
Variable Expenses
Gasoline/Car Related 101
Dining Out/Grocery 267
Clothing/Personal Care 11
Household 0
Entertainment/Leisure 10
Medical/Health 2
Childcare 25
Misc 0
Total Variable Expenses 417
Total Monthly Expenses 2,504
2017 Expenses YTD 24,263

This month was uneventful as we continue to stay home due to the warm weather. We did take a trip to Monterey peninsula, but most of the expenses were covered by my partner’s company as baby butterfly and I tag along for a conference. My Dining Out/Grocery category continue to be low because it is being subsidized by my partner.

September Passive Income = $ 911.85

September Expenses = $ 2,504

Shortage = $ 1,592.15

My September passive income covers about 36% of monthly expenses. Year to date is 29%.

Cheers,
